Dr. Samad Hossain

Managing Partner and Founder

Dr. Samad Hossain earned his PhD in 2012 from Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) in Hyderabad, India, where he studied natural product total synthesis under the guidance of Dr. J S Yadav. He then joined Invictus Oncology as a Research Scientist and worked on lipid nano-particle and human serum albumin-based drug delivery system for anti-cancer drugs. In 2019 he joined AAP Pharma, Hyderabad where he was responsible for process R&D followed by kilo scale API synthesis and project management. In 2025 Samad left AAP Pharma and founded Daisa Biopharma focusing on developing chemical as well as enzymatic process development of API and Advance intermediates.

Dr. Bali Reddy

Principal Scientist - 1

Sri Krishnadevaraya University graduate Dr. Perla Venkata Bali Reddy earned a Ph.D. in 2017. He has extensive experience in Process Research & Development across the agrochemical and pharmaceutical industries. He worked at GVK BIO from 2004 to 2016 in R&D CRO projects associated with DuPont as an Associate Scientist. From 2016 to 2024, he served at Coromandel International Limited in Process R&D for agrochemicals, progressing to the role of Manager.

Currently, since 2025, he has been working with Daisa Biopharma as a Scientist in Process R&D, focusing on APIs and advanced intermediates.

Dr. Kobirul Islam

Principal Scientist - 2

Dr. Kobirul Islam earned his PhD in Chemical Science in 2017 from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), India, where he developed novel synthetic methodologies and multicomponent reactions under the guidance of Prof. Abu T. Khan.Following his doctoral studies, he was awarded the prestigious National Postdoctoral Fellowship (NPDF) from 2017 to 2019 in the Division of Molecular Medicine at the Bose Institute, Kolkata, India. There, he explored the reactions of sugar-heterocycles and investigated their bioactivity as potential anticancer agents. From 2020 to 2021, he continued his advanced research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), India, focusing on the synthesis of heterocycle-sugar frameworks and evaluating their biological activities.Moving to the industry, Dr. Islam joined Coromandel International Limited, India, as an Assistant Manager in R&D.and led the development of agrochemicals, specialty chemicals, and intermediates, establishing deep expertise in process optimization and scaling up chemical production from laboratory to kilogram scales. He then moved to Sekhmet Pharmaventures, where he serveed as Associate Manager in R&D, directing product development and pharmaceutical API.
